The dean of seasonal hurricane forecasters peered into his crystal ball again and imparted this piece of advice Tuesday: Don't expect a repeat of last year's relatively benign season, when not one hurricane struck the United States.
All signs point to the US getting tapped by a nasty storm this upcoming year. But, let's keep in mind that this guy was the same one who upped the stakes mid-season last year and told us we'd get knocked around a good bit. His prediction had me sleeping on the floor of my ex-pat friend's house while Ernesto caused a somewhat minor rainstorm to push some leaves around.
Another article on next season.
